Human Resource Development occupies highest priority with the State Government. As such in the IT Policy, special emphasis has been laid for HRD upgradation with a twin objective of providing necessary man power to the IT sector for its growth and to improve the employability of the residents in IT sector. It is equally important to mention that Transparency in administration is the watchword of any ideal Govt. Computerization of all the information regarding latest position of establishment activities and of the staff will certainly go a long way in fulfilling the ideals of Govt. and thus bringing all the departments under E-governance for IT driven govt. To make this possible, it is necessary to instill IT culture in Govt. & impart skills of various levels to the govt. official's right from top to bottom.

With this end in view, Hartron is regularly conducting specialized Appreciation Course in computers for officers/officials of Haryana Government and its Boards and Corporations at its Corporate Office at Chandigarh, R&D center at Ambala and through its e-Education centres located throughout Haryana. Till now Hartron has trained over 6632 officers/ officials of Haryana Government and its Boards and Corporations. The Training programme conducted has been well appreciated by the officers. NORAD TRAINING

HARTRON is among the front runners in the implementation of NORAD scheme, under which the Corporation, with financial assistance from the Government of India, has already imparted training to more than 5,000 girls / women belonging to rural and economically weaker sections of the society in the field of computers, electronics assembly operator and repair of electronic home appliances.


FREE COMPUTER EDUCATION IN GOVT. SR. SECONDARY SCHOOLS


 >> Hartron in association & consultation with Education Department has finalized service providers to impart Free Computer Education from class VI to XII in Govt. Sr. Secondary Schools of Haryana.

UP-GRADATION OF THE TYPING & DATA ENTRY SKILL OF THE SCHEDULED CASTE & BACKWARD CLASSES UNEMPLOYED YOUTH THROUGH COMPUTER TRAINING.

 >>On behalf of the Welfare of Scheduled Caste & Backward Classes Department, Haryana, the Corporation is helping to upgrade the typing and data entry skills of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes unemployed youth through a year long course in Computer Training at Ambala, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Rewari, Karnal and Hisar. The training was started in August 2009. The other details of the training are as under:

AIM/OBJECTIVE:

 >>Up-gradation of Typing and Data Entry Skill of the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Unemployed Youth through computer.

 >>To provide employment / self-employment opportunity.

DURATION OF THE TRAINING:


 >>The duration of the training programme will be one year.

 >>As per scheme, Department will provide proper lab with electrical fittings etc. One official/officer of the Deptt. at the centre will be deputed by Deptt. as Nodal Officer who will co-ordinate the activity and for remedial action if any. Department would do the advertisement and will have the responsibility of selection & admission of students. Hartron will implement and monitor the training programme. Certificates will be given to the candidates who successfully complete the training programme.

EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN AND/OR SC/ST USING ICT- SCHEME APPROVED & FUNDED BY DIT, GOVT. OF INDIA:

 >>

Under the Department of information Technology, Government of India funded project, HARTRON is helping the Haryana Women and Child Development Department implement its village level programme for empowerment of women and scheduled castes, scheduled tribes using information and communication technology (ICT) tools.

As part of this programme about 800 women and girls drawn from the Sakshar Mahila Samoohs (SMSs), village level NGOs comprising educated women and girls from the village, in 10 districts of the state have already been trained in computer fundamentals, Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Applications and typing. They have also been given assignments and practice in data punching.

These women and girls collect and store grassroots level data at the village level to enable the Gram Panchayats plan and execute various projects and schemes in a scientific manner.

EMPOWERING SC STUDENTS IN GOVT. COLLEGES FOR EMPLOYABILITY IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, HARYANA

 >> Joining hands with the Haryana Higher Education Department, HARTRON has provided six months training in basic computer skills and DTP, free of cost to nearly 7,000 second and third year students belonging to the scheduled castes in all 67 Government Colleges in the State to prepare them better for employability or self employment under a project "Empowerment of SC Students in Government Colleges in Haryana for Employability in Information Technology".

 >>Those scoring atleast 60 percent in the exam and also passing their university exams with 40 percent or more marks have been rewarded with a free computer, UPS and printer by the State Government to equip them for a bright future ahead. An amount of nearly Rs. 4.50 crore has been incurred on the training of the SC students along with separate funds being earmarked by the Higher Education Department for providing computer-UPS-printer set to the eligible students passing out of college.

 >> The course content included training in computer fundamentals, Windows XP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Access. The students were also given exposure in networking, Internet, Corel Draw X3, Page Maker 7.0 and Adobe Photoshop.

TRAINING OF ICT SKILLS IN SIRSA & MOHINDERGARH DISTRICTS

 >> Hartron has already conducted computer training programme for PR Official Functionaries under BRGF-Reg. from Haryana Institute of Rural Development, Nilokheri. The candidates covered are Anganwari workers, JEs, Gram Sachivs, Patwaris and Social Education Panchayat Officer (SEPOs). The training in Mohindergarh District will also start shortly.
